On behalf of the Philadelphia Chapter of AIM-IRS, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of those that participated in the EEO Diversity Day on Thursday, Oct 14th at the Federal Building at 600 Arch Street in downtown Philadelphia.  A special thank you is given to Lavette Lightford for making the AIM-IRS Banner that identified our table and to CJ's staff for helping with the the set-up.  A humongous thank you is extended to CJ for the wonderful trays of cornbread that she submitted.  The cornbread along with the sweet potatoes pies were among the favorite dishes.  Our AIM-IRS table was decorated in blue with AIM-IRS handouts, "Why Vote" handouts, an African artifact of tribal housing, and 3 African American journals.  We raffled the three journals and the recipients were grateful to receive the gifts.  Lastly, Victoria Huggins Peurifoy, a retired AIM-IRS member, shared her gift of poetry and song. She was extraordinary.
